What are some of the causes of a playing addiction? As a former gambler and mental health consultant, I have done a lot of research on why people create a slotdark playing problem. What I’ve found is that there is more than one cause of playing addiction and that although it is important to know the cause, the solution is much more important.

Here are some of those unfortunate causes of playing addiction:

i Playing is exciting while the gambler is in action. The adrenaline high feels good, and it is not hard to become enslaved by these “feel good” chemicals in our brain.
i Playing compulsively may fill a void for many people with a playing problem. This void could be in many areas of one’s life. Poor social life, lonesomeness, job discontentment, empty-nest affliction, boredom, and lack of purpose can all contribute to a playing addiction.
i A big win at the casino is the worst possible event for anyone with a predisposition for addiction. The adrenaline a lot of a huge jackpot can fuel future addiction like jet fuel in a aircraft. Most, if not everyone give back the earnings from their jackpot, and even more money as well.
i Escape from emotional pain and psychological distress can also fuel a playing disorder. This runs specifically true for “escape gamblers” who mostly play slot machines, lottery, or participate in online internet playing.
i For “action gamblers”, the craving for action and feeling very important to others can fuel a playing addiction. Action bettors are mostly male and are usually sports betters, poker players, and racetrack bettors.
i The thrill of “easy money” can fuel a playing addiction, especially when the playing addict has a long stringed of wins at the beginning of his or her playing career.
i People with anxiety and/or depression have show a strong predisposition for playing problem and various addictions.
i People with first degree family members with a playing addiction have a stronger predisposition to develop this addiction themselves.

These are just some of the causes of a playing problem, however, there are many more as well. In addition, each unique individual will have different reasons for having a problem with playing, and no two situations are the same.

The most important thing, however, is that once some of the causes of a playing problem are established, that the individual tries immediate help for problem.

The solutions, together with abstinence from playing, professional help, and support groups, self-care, and change in lifestyle are most important in reclaiming ones’ life from a playing addiction.
